Leaks.......
So, new carpet and underlay in. A week later the dreaded musty smell.
I've taken out the passenger carpet and rather than it leaking through the front - I was ready to take off the glovebox and check behind (though I believe the TF had a mod there over the F to stop the leaking), but noticed the smell coming from behind the seats.
On inspection the pieces of insulation behind the rear bolts for the seat were both damp and smelly - on both sides closest to the fuel tank cover.
How to solve? Is this a leak coming through when driving via the back (unlikely I would have thought). Do I need to check the membrane in front of the fuel tank? Is it a known leakage point?
And if it isn't coming through there, then where? Is it an issue with door seals? Anyone had any experience with this?
