MG UK news - gossip from Thruxton

Hi all



I was at Thruxton today and had an interesting conversation with one of the MG team.



I'm listing out a few points that were news to me and maybe to you too.



MG CS:

- 2WD and 4WD variant

- MG only (no Roewe version)

- It is not going to be a rebadged Ssangyong.

- Full size clay 3D printer model is currently in the MG design studio at Longbridge and it is very much like the concept apparently.

- Currently, it is not expected to land until 2017 in the UK.

- it's going to be a major focus of the brand and priced below the 6.



MG 6:

- Petrol is being phased out.

- New '5' offer releasing shortly (5 years serving, AA cover, warranty, fuel allowance and something else.

- Big diesel push is on the way.



MG 3:

- A welsh dealer is working with MG to produce a rally MG 3. Circa 20 models a year, entirely done by the dealer.

- Adam engine is coming to the car.



MG 5:

- The next iteration of the car is coming to the UK in the future. No dates yet.
