R200 power loss?

Hi guys,



I have Rover 214 from 1996 with 103hp.

I do not drive a lot as i live close to my work so i rather walk.



About a month ago i went to a small trip, 600km there and back.

After this trip car felt amazing, was really responsive and fast.



So, after this trip i haven't drove it a lot. It was just parked outside and i made small shopping trips on weekend.

Yesterday a made a slightly longer trip and had a feeling car is not responsive. Like it is choking. I really have to press hard on gas to make it move. As it was hot i turned on AC and that really killed it. In one moment engine turned off as i was turning corner. It scared me.



I have to say i noticed this kind of behavior (power loss) before but did not pay attention.



What could be causing this?
