Rover 600 Heater control bulbs.

In relation to the above in the heater control pack the bulbs are wedge type mini size and rated 12v by 1.2. All of these b ulbs are operating but I find they are a bit dim even with the dimmer control at max. Will replacing them with 1.4 rated bulbs brighten my life and is there any reason not to do this if it will do so? The similar lighting in my wifes 200 is as I would prefer in the 600. Any thoughts?
