TF 160 or 135 with mods?
Hi,
I used to have a TF 160 and I'm desperate to get one again. I live in norfolk and there's only a couple of realistic possibilities within 100 miles or so - i'm never going to the dealer in Peterborough where I purchased mine - if it wasn't for them i'd still be driving in one!
Anyway, the TF 160 was good fun - not crazy fast by any stretch but 0-60 in 7 seconds certainly wasn't a bad return.
The official 0-60 for a 135 is 8.2 - not terrible by any means but..
How much difference does - say - a catback exhaust and remap make? Will I still be aching for a 160? I've never driven a 135 - I drove a 115 which was a little fun but really felt it underpowered for a little 2 seater RWD car.
If anyone has had dyno runs on their 135 after similar modifications i'd love to know what difference it made.
Anyway, here's hoping i'm back in the MG community sooner rather than later :) Missed my 160 ever since I got rid of it - even if it consistently caused me troubles with HG and more which the dealer despite warranty never sorted..
