Water temperature gauge - oil inside
The magnetic mass, moving the dial, is immersed in oil !
I had a broken water temp gauge (dial shaft broken) so Iecided to understand how it was assembled.
It seems to be silicon oil, which might be the scope ? Damping dial fluctuation ? This might be the reason why our gauges are moving so slowly.
Has someone a broken fuel gauge ? pls open it and let me know if it's similar.
