Diagnostic tool

Hi there,



I have a 2002 registered Rover 45 2L diesel and was hoping to buy a cheap diagnostic tool. (srs light on). Having read around, with some confusion and contradicting advice, I'm not sure they are of any use on my Rover.

Can anyone be more definitive?
