Door glass rattle fix
Been trying to sort out the common problem of the door glass rattle when the window is half down.
Finally figured out (at least on my car) when the glass was half down the looking at the rubber track where the glass slides ,it was nice and firm against the outside edge but there was a gap on the inside which allowed the window glass to (rattle) and move when the door was shut.
I found if I gently lifted the rubber track slightly out of the door frame about halfway up the door and placed a very thin strip of plastic (about 1mm) about 3 cm long and about the thickness of an ice cream container behind the rubber to pack it out slightly, no more rattle !!!!.
I think as the rubber gets worn down a little over years the issue gets worse.
Other option is to get a new window seal.
