Been bugging me and now fixed.

Both my MG ZT 1.8t cars have the AirBag warning lights on all the time now for a week or two. Very annoying. My six foot three son when he gets in the cars, immediately puts the seats fully back and that usually causes that.

Had a "fiddle" with both the yellow and blue plugs under the front seats and still no joy. So, got some penetrating fluid ( not WD40 ) tissues, cotton cloth ( worn out Y-Fronts are ideal for many jobs around the cars .. ) ... and gave the connectors a good spray and clean up. Also placed a light smear of Copper based grease into the female parts of the connectors and wiped away any surplus. Carefully reassembled them all on both cars and turned on the ignition. Waited for what seemed much longer than six seconds and both warning lights on the instrument display ... went out as they should at the end of their system check sequence.

With stone cold engines, checked the fluid level in their Coolant Expansion reservoirs and both showed good stable levels and clean clear coolant. Both cars had their damaged Cylinder Head Gaskets replaced soon after I obtained them and obviously it is wise to check these things until confident all is well. So far so good.

Glad those bluddy annoying lights go out when they should now .. really bugs me they do ...

...

Nice when your work pays dividends.
