Fixing crack in rear screen Vs hardtop?
As some of you may have spotted I recently had a posting on options to fix a crack on the rear screen of my recently acquired £500 24K miles year 2000 MGF runabout - Thanks to all for the good replies!
Another potential option now - I do have access to another car but my current plan is to use the MGF for the next year including over the autumn & winter when not too snowy & icy so this has got me to thinking whether I might be better living with the cracked rear screen which although cracked does not leak and possibly spend around £200 instead on a reasonably good hardtop for the autumn onwards and just live with the current cracked rear screen through what summer we have.......
How well sealed / watertight and user friendly are MGF soft top roofs over the cold wet season?
What do you guys reckon - Fix the soft top and use that all year round or live with current & spend a bit more cash on hardtop instead?
