Freelander tryes

Our trusty old 400 has finally clambered aboard the wagon to the final recycling plant, and since mum (Nearly a 100!) was starting to find it hard getting out of it, I bought an old W reg Freelander.



I've been warned that it's going to require a couple of new tyres for the MOT and I'm not sure what I require. One garage recommended just buying the cheapest tyres that fitted, another said buy Michelins because they did well in the Which? tests and also last longer than average. I think I need advice from people who've actually got experience of the things.



It will be subjected to a little fairly light off-roading, but will mainly be used on-road, although quite a lot of the road in question will be sub-standard or unmade (That's what saw off the 400).
