Is a tf 115 nside door handle change possible?

Hello, I would like to change the door handles and surrounds on my 115 TF.

The near side handle surround has an indent for the key to go in. (no central locking on this model).

The standard colour is black and I want to change this to BRG.



All the coloured handle surrounds I have seen have a blanking plate where the key would go.



Does this blanking plate come off? Can it be drilled? Does it pop out?



This would be really helpful to know.
