Which one to pick?

Morning all,



I have been a owner of many rover group/mg rover/mg uk cars and while I have enjoyed them all, I've always hankered for a ZT and now I'm comfortable enough to enjoy one and run one I have decided to bite the bullet.



Found the buyers guide on here which has been very useful, but I had a question that is subjective and wanted some opinions.



I've seen two ZT's that fit my criteria, engine choice and spec...but the main difference, one is a mark 1 and one is a mark 2.



I am very much aware of project drive and it's unpleasant effects, but I was wondering, based on two cars of a similar age, mileage and condition, which would you go for and why?



One final question, I am leaning towards a 2.5 or a 1.8T, while I know the 2.5 is rather more powerful in general, what is the difference behind the wheel from a current/ex owners perspective?
