CDT difficult start when hot
Hi all,
It starts immediately when cold.
To start it from hot, I need to pop the bonnet and wait for air to circulate. I do not need to wait for the temperature gauge to drop, but I do need to get some cold air to ventilate around the top of the engine (i.e. 30 minutes might do). Then it starts, but not always easily.
I thought this implied the camshaft sensor was wearing out. However, I replaced the camshaft sensor (after-market part for BMW 3-Series/Rover 75) and it still struggles to start when hot.
Ideas please?
