Crappy handling TF - finally got round to looking
Been driving around in my TF for months and cornering slowly as it handles really badly when turning right.
Got under it tonight and started on the drivers side. Rear wheel had movement at 3 and 9 and pretty sure it is the outer bush on the track control arm a will be replacing the arm. It's the fixed rather than an adjustable one, hopefully that should cure most of the handling problem.
Then looked at the other side and there was movement at 6 and 12, I held each bush connection and banged the wheel at 12 o clock and am pretty sure the movement is in the upper pivot arm where it connects to the subframe. This is also probably the cause of the banging I am hearing as I go over bumps.
Just though I would share.
So now after a pivot arm (or whatever it's called) and a lower control arm in reasonable condition if anyone has any for sale!
