Engine Management Light On
Hi,
The engine management light came on on my 75 tourer a few weeks after having it, I checked the oil, battery connection and coolant etc and couldn't see any issues, I also didn't notice any change in the way the car drove when it came on. I got a code reader of ebay and it was able to tell that the light was on and that they was a fault but couldn't read what it was (I guess this is because it was/is a Rover specific problem?)
Anyway I reset the light using the code reader as I couldn't find any problems and it was due to be serviced shortly after this happened.
Anyway I thought nothing of it again until yesterday when after a few months and around 800 miles the light came back on again, the code reader again just says fault 01 and then N/A. There is no change in the way the car drives again (the light came on half way back from Chester and drove home without any problems), so I guess it is just a sensor, at first I thought O2 sensor but then I did a bit of googling and found the car has quite a few sensors, so just wondering if one of the gurus could point me in the right direction?
