Just purchased MG TF VV160
Hello
I am Rodney from Norwich and I have just purchased an MG TF VV160 just to use as a summer car. Have spent the last two weeks cleaning the thing and was able to get on the road this week. Quite impressed so far ,seems to be very lively and corners very well and also a joy to drive at low speeds around the city.
This is my first venture into the world of MG and I did do some research into the TF and its possible faults including the dreaded head gasket problem, the dealer I purchased from assures me it was chaged about 5k miles ago.
The car is 2002 and done 68k miles and not in bad nick for year and the price I paid.
My daily car is an Alfa Romeo Mito Diesel and for many years I have owned Alfas and Fiats, but as I am getting old decided I would like a convertible and the TF seemed to be a good introduction to open top motoring on a budget.
My other interests include Amateur Radio and Conservation, wildlife and the outdoors.
I look forward to using this site as it seems to contain a lot of information and tips on ownership.
No doubt I will be seeking some help on basic ownership problems as the handbook seems to very sparse on some information.
Look forward to using the site.
