Missing induction roar

Having read much on the forums of this sound it appear to be missing from "Elsie" despite the fact she has an open cone K&N filter fitted.



The only time one hears a slight bit of induction noise is when starting from cold in a confined space. Right now the drive has grown up with plants and weeds and as we drive slowly out past the brick gate post one can here the induction roar slightly then once on the open road nothing. One only hear the burble from the exhaust and it's not a sports one just a mild steel GTX one.
