Strange wheel fitment problem
Bought another set of alloys the other day off Ebay. They are 16" 7 spoke alloys from a Rover 800.
Put them on the car today and they look great. Strange thing is this. I went to pull off my drive and heard this metallic grating noise and car vibrated quite badly. At first I thought the wheels were loose.
Took the front wheels back off and it seems that the calipers on both sides were grating against the back of the wheels. The wheels are the same offset as the ones that came off it and they are genuine Rover.
Has anyone else come across anything like this before? I thought that Rover 800 wheels were a direct fit to the 600 series?
