Coolant Leak

Hi Guys,



My beloved MG ZS 1.8 is starting to loose coolant and leaves a nice puddle on the garage floor. It drains the tank in just over a week. I understand unfortunately the most likely cause is the water pump.



Can I ask, to inspect will I have to jack the car up and remove the lower cambelt cover from the arch? Also if it is the culprit could I get away with it for a few months if I top up, I understand its not great for the cambelt?
