Help.. cambelt timing problems
OK so I did my research watched the youtube video etc etc
lined up all the marks fitted the locking tool to the cams and set to fitting the new cam belt.. so far so good
all set up tensioned all looking good so I start to rotate the engine get to about a quarter turn and i meet resistance turn back to timing marks all still looks good tension still looks right try again quarter turn resistance..
I dare not put any more pressure on for the risk of bending valves (again)
anyone got any ideas as to why it hasn't worked??.. I have removed and refit and tried again several times all with the same result
The only idea I have is that when I had my head rebuilt they somehow put the cams in wrong but that just sounds plain stupid..
any ideas cos I am stumped.. ps its a 2005 TF 135
