MGF VVC "Elsie failed MOT on Emissions

She failed on more than I was expecting. Was not expecting this emission fail ..........................r readings are:-



Fast Idle

CO 2.46%

HC 97ppm

^ .959



Second idle reat:-



CO 2.04%

HC 75ppm

^ .949



Noticed that the N/S exhaust hanger bracket has pulled away from the box to this afternoon fitted a new Bosal exhaust. I also swapped the CAT for the one off the blue VVC donor and noticed the black mark where the pre-cat joint had been blowing slightly. I guess this would effect the emissions slightly.



Hopefully will get the emission part re-checked tomorrow and see if it has helped.



Reading through emission threads I notice that "Elise's" are not way out so hopefully this will have have helped.



Suggestions that may help sort it are of course welcome and appreciated :).
