Poor warm starting and now cold too :-(
Hi
Before I buy 4 new injectors is there anything else anyone can think of before I make the leap.
Air filter, fuel filter, engine oil / filter and pcv filter all new. Both fuel pumps working fine ( can hear both clearly ) EGR very clean and the car runs ( once bump started ) smoothly and just as it did before this issue.
I've also had someone else's camshaft timing sensor on and that didn't cure it either.
ECU is dry ( plenum is clear ) and the big white relay in the ECU box is clean dry and working too.
In the morning it generally starts after several turns but lately it's been getting worse and warm starting is now much harder - sometimes not starting at all - hence bump start.
Apparently the crankshaft sensor is unlikely to be the cause and neither the heater plugs....this from someone who knows these cars quite well.
So I'm looking for anyone else's experience and solutions. Am I right in thinking
injectors ?
If it is......why is it running so well ?
In my head I thought it'd be lumpy or maybe misfiring if injectors were damaged ??
I'm no engineer or proper car person I'm just handy with spanners providing I have instructions. What I really need is someone who really knows to give me a bit of advice before I wade in and potentially waste a sh.. load of money !!
Thanks in advance
Andrew
