breakers
had a nice day at the breakers today. i went to pick up some lower rear suspension bolts for the ZS, the plan was to get some from a 97 plate honda civic i saw there on a previous visit. the reason i wanted the bolts from a honda is the bolts on our 05 plate ZS cars are ****e. most of the bolts snapped or twisted on both cars when trying to remove them, even with lots and lots of releasing oil. as for the honda bolts from a 97 plate car, well they came off with ease and no need for oil. strange as they look the same so it must have something to do with how they were put together.
anyway i managed to pick up a shed load of bolts ( £6.50 each from rimmers ), pair of tailgate struts, pair of compliance arms, dash loom with s/wheel audio connection, lots of honda trim clips( door handle mounts with the extra metal clip, screws and lugs for sill plates) and lastly a rear arch liner passenger side with all fixings. the total for these £15 thanks very much.
so the zs now has new lower arm bushes, trailling arm bushes, top arm bushes, rear roll bar bushes and new links plus new compliance armbushes.
like to see it fail the MOT in november now lol.
