Under Bonnet Pump question
I went to start the car after dropping into Tesco this morning and no joy, cranked over but not firing. I rang RAC and popped into Tesco for some bits and pieces. After coming back to the car I tried a few more times and heard faint sounds of firing. I thought I would have a nose around the engine and tapped the UBP. It whirred into action and the car then started right away. I cancelled the RAC and went home.
My question is this, is this a one off, or should I replace the UBP? Also does this mean the in tank pump is not working and I need to replace that as well? It does run on nearly empty.
