Rover owners: Window regulator help

After a failure to close the ns window. I have today attempted to change the passenger side window regulator and motor. Purchased a used working regulator from the bay of e and attempted a swap. Old regulator came out without hassle. I would say that it must have been changed previously as the wiring had been cut and rejoined and the plastic sheet under the door card is missing. Problem arose when fitting the replacement. It is different to the faulty unit removed. (see pics) Questions i need help with.

1, is the faulty unit the correct one? Car is MG TF cool blue 135 2003.

2, Is the replacement correct?

In the picture the one with the white motor and clamping bracket is the original. Black motor version is the purchased replacement. http://ift.tt/1DO4bTs
