Would this exhaust system fit my car? - noob question!!

Hi folks,



Just a quick one for you all. I'm looking into the 'possibility' of changing the exhaust on my 2001 Y plate MGF 1.6 - mainly because the back box has seen much better days and where it connects to the cat looks like it has been on for a million years as the nuts aren't even recognisable due to corrosion - looks just like a load of rust!!



Also, not sure if the pipes on the old box have been cut short at some point, as the finishers that are on them are barely able to fit at the clamp end and I'm pretty sure that they should 'poke out' of the rear bumper more than they are doing - I say this as I can see that above the finishers, the heat/emissions have actually melted the bumper directly above both pipes......I think the pipes should come out further to avoid this.



So, whilst I'm thinking about a new exhaust, I've been mulling over wether or not it would be a good idea to change the manifold, downpipe and possibly the cat - I'm assuming that none of these have been changed since new, and if the box is anything to go by, the rest of it is probably not in very good shape.



Anyway, I've been looking at various options including a TT Mk7/6 from Neil, a Daytona from MS and some cheaper options on Ebay, such as Toyosports.



I know that 'you get what you pay for' and these things are not cheap, but I am swaying towards the cheaper end of the market - mainly because I can then renew some of the other associated parts in the process - hopefully. Okay, the Toyo might not be as highly praised as the other options, but they must be half decent, right?

Now, being a noob with little experience, I don't 100% know if this lot would fit my car - listing states VVC / TF and I messaged the seller who were not much help about assuring me it would fit my car.



Can anyone here comment on fitting and/or compatibility for me and if there is anyone who has a Toyo or this kind of setup could comment on the quality etc etc



Advice on a new cat would be appreciated, too!! - d'y think I could re-use the old one if it is possible to get it off in one re-usable peice or would it be a good idea to just get a new one to go with all the other new bits, assuming that they fit my F.
