1400 Rolling Road results

Hi,

I have just built / rebuilt a Vauxhall Nova Rally car which runs a 1400 K series engine. I've been a member on here for a while but not really posted much. Anyway, I had it on the rollers yesterday and I thought I'd let you know the results.

It's not a massive spec but is as follows....

*1400 High Port (later type) head

*Piper 633 cams

*Adjustable pulleys

*Jenvey Direct to head throttle bodies

*Uprated FPR

*Mild Port & Polish

*OMEX 600 Management

*Sytec Fuel Pump

The end result is a healthy 145.1 BHP @ 7170rpm and 116.3 lb/ft of torque @ 6022rpm.

The power was still climbing at the limiter at 7400, With a decent bottom end it should see over 150 BHP.

I'm very happy with it, it pulls from 3000 right up to the limiter and goes well (especially when coupled to a shell that weighs around 800kg, close ratio box and a straight cut 5.2 CWP). Sounds the nuts too. It's debut is a rally next weekend so will be interesting to see how it compares.

Cheers

Chris
