Actual puddle in the rear footwell

Ok, I've noticed a musty smell the last month or so and decided to check the rear footwell as it had got damp last year, but seemed to clear itself up after I had tinkered with the rear window seal (or so I thought!)



Lifted the mat and there is actual water there, not just damp! :(



Alot of water must be getting in. The wheel well in the boot is bone dry so thats a good thing.



I'm thinking its either the "runners" on the roof, or the rear window (3dr).



Im off on holiday tomorrow AM so can't sort it until I'm back in a week. My plan is to re-lay the black trim in the roof gutter with silicon sealant and clean the window seals, but I have no experience with the roof gutters, does it just pop off, or am I likely to snap it? How is it secured and how do I remove it?
