Cruise ECU

Does anyone know if the centre console needs to be removed to get at the Cruise ECU on the R45 V6 Connie. I know it's in that area behind the console, but I can't see it. Whats involved in getting to it, any help will be much appreciated as I'm not getting power to the pump & wondered if it had failed.
