Headlights

my drivers side main beam (not full beam) bulb seemed to have gone, so i bought a new one today to replace it. took the old bulb out and the wire connector was tight and needed a good tug to pull it off. upon inspection, the bulb was fine but there was some charring on one of the connections and the plastic on the plug had burnt slightly - i cleaned it up and the original bulb is working fine now.



any ideas what might've happened to cause that? i thought maybe it was loosely connected and there was some arcing maybe? just curious about others' thoughts. is there any chance it is causing or related to my intermittently working reversing lights/parking sensors?
