sterling driver's door not activating interior light etc

After having the driver's door lock worked on with the door trim removed, when it is now opened the interior light does not come on, the headlight warning buzzer does notcome on etc. The window control unit & electric window still work, and the door's small interior light comes on as normal when any other door is opened. Is there a sensor which activates when the door is open? If so, where is it located, or is there an associated fuse somewhere?

Any help much appreciated.
