EPAS and speedo

HI Guys

I have 1997 MGF 1.8 Manuel

ON club outing all well,stopped for 30 mins, started off again no EPAS or speedo working.Pulled big fuse at home and cleaned contacts,now working,but no speedo

Can you tell me if this models speedo is electronic or cable driven?
