Evidence of past failed h.g

Changing the oil on my ZR today, checked the coolant header for levels, decided to run my finger along the residue inside and low and behold, mayo.



The car is running fine since I got it (1k, 3 weeks ago). Service history shows water pump replacement at 65k, along with timing belt and aux belt, so I'm thinking failed water pump(coolant residue all around the engine bay, oil down side of the engine).



Have I got a good line of thinking or could it be something else? I'll repeat again, the car runs fine now.
