Immobiliser - Give me strength!

Hi all. Started my 2002 1.8 TF last week with nooooooo problem at all. It was on my drive, with the lights on. I had to get back into the house so I switched it off, kept the lights on and the drivers door open, went into the house for about 30 seconds. Got back in it and it wouldn't start! Will not even click, or turn the engine! Ignition lights come on but that's it. Not driven it for a while as it's off the road for the winter but it always starts, first time!

Hooked up jump leads with my other car just in case the battery was a bit dicky but no joy.

When I press the button to lock it the red light flash quickly for a few seconds then flashes slowly. Is this normal? Can't remember as I've not driven it for about 3 months
