Looks like it's done it again - HGF?

About 5,000km (3,000 miles) ago, I had my head gasket done - actually, the liners had dropped and it was a strip the block, machine and rebuild the motor job. You may remember the story.



She's been starting and running well, with no water or oil use, as you'd expect.



This last week, from cold, she's got harder to start (still very good, just not as sharp), the start up idle is very rough (it sounds 'heavy') though that clears after awhile and the rest of the drive it fine. This morning, I did my normal saturday morning 'first service' and sure enough, the coolant level has gone down half an inch. Nothing under the oil filler cap. Oil looks good ... as much as you can tell with the stupid black plastic dip stick.



Yes, I will be getting onto the mechanic on monday morning but would anyone like to hazard a guess to what it is? Rough idle at cold start, suddenly using coolant.



I'm so ****ed off right now.
