MG ZR 3 Door - Rear Door Card Removal

Ok so i'm hoping someone can hopefully give me some good news on this as so far it seems i have a little bit of extra work ahead of me from what i originally thought would be a fairly easy job. I need to take to rear side drivers window out of the car to remove and re-seat the seal with some black silicone due to a water leak resulting in a damp rear footwell. There could be another leak which is working it's way into the boot but i need to check this first by removing the right wall of carpet in the boot which seems to be where the water is coming in from.

There isn't an awful lot of water coming into the boot or the footwell at the moment but it appears to be much worse when it hammers it down with rain. I managed to dry out the footwell for the time being and i'm keeping an eye on this to see how quick it takes for it to become quite bad again but after checking all the seals it seems this is the only problem one. I am looking to fit an amplifier into the boot at some point but i want to make sure all the water leaks are fixed first.

I have a feeling on what the response is here on this one but in order to remove the rear window on the drivers side it looks like alot of work and stripping down alot of the car. In regards to fitting the amplifier i need to run my power lead down the left side where there isn't a leak but it seems i need to take off the rear door card again to lift the carpet up.

Please tell me that in order to gets these cards off i don't have to remove the rear seats?? If this is the case can anyone point me in the right direction on where to start with this one :)

Cheers.
