Cleaning the washer system?

Dammit, Went to use the screen washers today and I got a lovely spray of sludge. Further inspection reveals a washer tank that appears to have grown its own chemical compounds.



Has anyone cleaned their washer system? I was just going to unclip the nozzles, bang some APC through it repeatedly. Maybe caustic soda?
