Early HGF or Condensation
I have Mayo on the dipstick also. Seems to be worse when wetter or colder (Also why does a car feel like it drives better when wet!??! probably my imagination).
I noticed a few months ago i started losing coolant, but i also found its weeping from the under floor coolant pipes (Need time and cash to do these!) so i know thats leaking.
I dont have any mayo on the filler cap lid. Exhaust fumes in the morning a grey and smell kinda sweet but dissapers once its warmed up in 3 mins time or so.
Temp never goes above 90ish and the car drives brilliantly even though its just clocked 170k. Well looked after though needs work :p
So early signs of HGF or Condensation? I know everyone tends to go HGF route, and i do mostly do 5 mile journeys daily which wont help the mayo/condensation. I just would assume the car would drive a little rougher if the HG was failing. Who knows hence the question. What other checks can i do? Coolant is always very clean also.
Thanks all :)
