Forged K Turbo build
We have started collecting parts for my Sons ZT Turbo build, we picked up a complete engine last weekend and am just waiting for the engine stand to turn up. He was offered a set of 380cc injectors so bought them as well. We are aiming for 300bhp as a target.
What is the best way to go with regards rods and pistons ie Turbo length rods and n/a pistons or standard length rods and low comp pistons, what are the pros and cons.
We will be using ductile liners and to save a bit of money a vvc head with a DIY port job and the vvc mechs locked off.
Turbo choice seems to be leaning towards a GT28r which from what I've read should be good for about 400bhp so not over streached and hopefully minimal lag (if I've got that right of course)
We shall be keeping MEMS and will have it remapped.
Any thoughts or advise on the above or any leads on parts etc appreciated
