Home brew repairs.
Me and a couple of local friends have been having issues with our PAS pumps whining. They weep a little from the casing join but are not run below the min level so the pump having been ran dry is not an issue.
To the point, apparently the ZS 180 is the only MG to have this specific pump blah blah down the grape vine. If this is true.
Surely its only the housing thats changed to suit its placement on the engine, So. That been said has anyone stripped one of these pumps and compared the internals to that of say, a ZS/ZR?
I'd just like to know if its a path worth investigating?
Another quick one;
If anyone has fitted steel caged diff bearings (The biggens' on the outputs)
Once the C-clip has been removed how much of a pain are they to pull out?
Picking up a replacement gearbox Saturday and would like to fit them before I put the box in.
Cheers
Adam
