MGTF Wheel nut caps are stuck
Hi folks... any help on the below situation is appreciated.
My car tyre blew out at the weekend and when I went to change the tyre, I found I was unable to remove the caps from the wheel nuts.
The cap on the locking nut came off no bother, but the other caps wouldn't budge.
I broke my Wheel Nut Cap Removal Tool in the process.
I got another tool off eBay and, after tapping the nut caps with a hammer to slightly loosen them, I've still had no luck removing them, and have now damaged the new tool.
I have also tried some of the other suggestions in previous threads such as leveraging with 2 thin screwdrivers and using vise-grip pliers. Nothing worked.
Any other ideas?
Am I going to have to cut through the caps to get at the wheel nut?
I heard that a pipe grip may be an option too, but is that not just the same as using vise-grip pliers?
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help. I am carless till I get this sorted.
Thanks
Richard
