Old chestnut... clutch judder!

Evening all,

Just wanted to run this one past those with greater technical knowledge than I (which is probably most contributors on here!)

I've always had a very slight judder when pulling away in 1st gear. Much more noticeable when the car is cold, and when setting off on an upward incline. I've put up with it until now because it was virtually unnoticeable when (a) the car warmed up and (b) if you piled on a few revs when pulling away (which I realise may have ultimately added to the problem).

However over the past couple of weeks the judder has been getting a lot worse, almost to the point of it being embarrassing: like a learner driver with 'kangaroo juice' in the tank!

So I'm wondering, is my first port of call a new clutch kit? Or is it more likely to be failing engine / gearbox mounts? Or both?! When up and running, the car drives perfectly - no problem at all changing up or down the 'box and no slipping at any speed.

The car's a '00 R45 1.6 with 82k on the clock. Any thoughts would be welcomed! :)
