steering wheel

hi all iv got a free 220 steering wheel and its fits with a slight rubbing on the clock spring iv got a couple of questions

1 will putting a washer on first bring the wheel out alittle to stop it rubbing slighty

2 what air bag would i want? so i will connected up? could i cut the wires ftom the clock spring that came with the air bag? and will that work and be fine as to the srs system? thanks mines a 98 618
