Thermostat Housing Replacement
Hi guys,
I have a 1999 Rover 75 V6 2.0 Club Auto.
The car has suddenly been losing coolant. I've found it's leaking water at the usual Thermostat Housing so I've got all the parts and I have found quite a few good tutorials and guides so I'm going to attempt changing it myself.
The one thing I can't seem to find out is if people have drained and flushed the coolant in full when changing the thermostat housing and manifold gaskets etc. Or is it ok to replace the housing and gaskets and then just top up the coolant? I've been reading forum posts and I'm worried about not being able to bleed the system.
Also does anyone know the correct torque to use when bolting the manifolds back up? I obviously don't want to over tighten them.
Thanks,
Chris
