Van vs mg zr ??Is my car a write off ?

So a day before xmas me and a royal mail van was going around the roundabout he was in the left lane and i was in the right lane he went all the way around the roundabout and went into the side of me he said its his fault cus he was looking at the satnav because it told him he missed the turning. I have done my best to knock the damage out. I was a mechanic for 4 years then went into building websites ( more money )

So i bought a hammer and a long bit of wood and knocked most of it out the wood was to spread the load







The insurance says the car is a right off i have had a quote of a guy that does body work and have been quoted £200 which is off the books. Has you can see this is like pealing stuff coming off it im guessing that is lacquer and the paint is faded ? Your thoughts ?? The car insurance said they will price the car up and pay out for the car vaule.



P.s this is on the main pillow on the car i noticed so if the car ever rolled if its done damage this time ?? it would be weaker ??



The car is amazing engine wise had a lot of owners who spent a lot of money doing a new improved head gasket etc
