MG ZT190 6cd changer

I recently bought an MG ZT190 52 reg, it has the alpine radio and 6cd changer. The 6cd changer says it plays cd-r, however I have filled the whole cassette with cd-r's and none of them play. When I try to use it the radio recognises that there are cd's in there and cycles through them, but when it goes to play one it just sends out static.



I'm wondering if this is a fault with the cd changer or the cd's? I have used these cd's previously so I know that they work.



If I needed to remove/replace the cd changer how difficult is it?
