MGF/TF diagnostic socket

I am currently dissecting a MGF/TF wiring loom to wire up a Mini Clubman fitted with a Mk2 MGF 1.8 motor. In doing this I am identifying all of the loom branches to determine which connections we actually need.

I am using a cloned Rave CD but some of the cable colours do not correspond with the loom I have.

Such as PAS - connections to the steering motor and ECU? Not that we need this just want eliminate it.

Where is the Diagnostic socket situated and what format is it?

In the rear part of the loom is a white round plug with 2 pins and clearly an "O" ring seal, what is this for?

Any help appreciated.
