SRS/Seatbelt/Airbag warning lights... Worth checking and sorting
Hell I've not been on here in ages :minxy:
Anyways I got myself a temp ban over on the other side for swearing haha...
Been having issues with my airbag warning light over the last few days; it'd come on and go off and then come back on again and stay on
Now I know that the first class eeijit that had the ZT-T before me fitted the black leather interior but instead of doing it properly; the airbag/SRS wiring was bodged together (basically twisted and then wrapped in insulation tape)!
A good month or so ago I chopped that out, cleaned the wiring and added choc-blocks and then I've undone the connectors, sprayed them with WD40 and let them dry off a bit and made sure that I plugged/unplugged them a good few times to help clean the connections
This worked until the other day and it started faffing about again
This time I've done this on both front seats after checking the rear carpets for water (bone dry underneath so no worries there)
I've undone all the connectors under the seats, again sprayed them with WD40 and let them dry out a bit, plugged/unplugged them ALL quite a few times and when I've finally put them back together, I've zip-tied the plugs together making sure that they dont have any chance of coming apart slightly...
This has worked a treat and the lights now off; I've sat in the car with the engine running moving the seats forwards/backwards, up & down whilst I've been sat in them and no more light...
Thank god!
Fingers crossed it stays this way :D
