Hi from Christchurch NZ
I'm a expat Pomm who's been living in NZ since 2003. For the last 15 years I've been driving Land Rovers - firstly a D1 300TDI (in the UK) then a D1 V8 (in NZ) and currently a 99 L Series Freelander.
I usually 'hang out' on Landyzone and enjoy the forum help and banter. There's often pointers to this forum from LZ relating to the shared engines in the Freelander so thought I'd sign up. Got a bit of an issue with the L Series at the mo so will start a thread - so long as I'm not booed off for not running a MG or Rover!
My son has a 220 Turbo Tomcat that he's had for about 18 months now. Its his first car and although he's done a prelim 1 year aircraft engineering course with Air New Zealand - he can't be bothered to maintain his car - so that usually falls to me to sort out. Currently fighting some electrical issues. Kids in the UK will be green with envy when they find out that he got it when he was 17 and on his learners and the insurance cost about £50 for the first year :)
